Jonah 1: God’s Love

The first of four weeks in the book of Jonah, we see that the book isn’t actually about Jonah (or Nineveh, or even a fish!): it’s about God, and his love for both neighbors and enemies. In Jonah 1 we see God’s pursuit (even when we run) and God’s work (even if we don’t know him). And while Jonah rejected God’s love and tried to save his life, we see in Jesus the culmination of that love, as he gave his life to save ours.
