James 3:1-12, 4:11-12, & 5:12 - Blessings and Curses

Is the tongue more of a thermostat or thermometer? Does it control what’s going on inside us, or does it merely indicate the depths of our hearts? That’s what we explore in this week’s verses (as well as related themes from James 4:11-12 & 5:12). We look at what James says regarding our words (and equally as important, what he does not say!). And more importantly, we see why James finds our pursuit of truth, blessing, and integrity to be so important… because each of these realities echo the heart of God’s own words to us and the world.
