James 5:13-20: Prayer & Community

In Salt & Light’s final teaching on the book of James, we see Jesus’s half brother’s not-so-shocking conclusion to his letter: if his big challenge for five chapters is around where followers of Jesus put their faith, he shows us what a simple, meaningful life of faith involves: a consistent pursuit of prayer, community, and reconciliation. We consider various aspects of the “healing” James talks about, and our trust in God as we seek Him in prayer, and how these both echo Jesus’s earthly ministry during his first coming, and also foreshadow our eternity with him after his second.
